Building Permits are required in the Borough of Montrose.  Ordinance number 84-2 was adopted on June 2, 1984 requires all persons to obtain a building permit for any construction and development.  This includes renovations by the homeowner.   Not obtaining necessary permits before starting a project can, and will be served with a "Stop Work Order".

Code Enforcement for the Borough of Montrose is handled by the Borough Secretary. All inquiries will be answered in a timely manner!
