Useful Borough Information

Metered parking is in effect from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EXCEPT Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.  Montrose Borough observed holidays are:  New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,  Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Parking Meter Rates:  For zones with a maximum parking time of two (2) hours, five cents for each unit of thirty minutes; one dime for sixty minutes; one quarter for a maximum of two hours.  IN NO CASE SHALL COINS BE DEPOSITED SO AS TO PROVIDE MORE THAN TWO HOURS OF PARKING TIME.

For zones with a maximum parking time of ten hours, five cents for each unit of thirty minutes; one dime for sixty minutes; one quarter for two and one-half hours; fifty cents for five hours.  IN NO CASE SHALL COINS BE DEPOSITED SO AS TO PROVIDE MORE THAN TEN HOURS OF PARKING TIME. 

METER FINES: 

$5.00 - Parking meter time expired

$10.00 - Illegally parked

Original Fine - Due immediately

4-10 Days - Amount due $10.00

11+ Days - Citation is filed
